A baby asleep in its little bed,
	so peaceful, calm and serene.
No other time out of the day
	when this scene can be seen.

So early in the morning baby awakes,
	and the day begins in a wink.
Soon baby is crawling all around
	and I don’t have time to think.

Then in a rocking chair as I
	hold baby lovingly on my lap,
Baby’s head starts to nod and 
	eyes are heading for a nap.

Only beginning again in just
	an hour or maybe two,
Baby is doing all the busy,
	things that little babies do.
