PG 13: Can Be Handle by Teenagers Please be aware that I wrote this story when I didn't check my writing; thus, beware of cringy errors. Chapter I Elissa sat on her bed. She was four by the time I, Owinna, was born. "Elissa, come down here, quickly!" She heard my dad yell. She knew she wasn't in trouble due to she is a good little kid. Elissa left her room and ran around the corner then headed down the stairs. "Yes, Daddy?" Elissa says with a smile. It was ten at night. Her dad was holding a gun. Her father name is Luke. He reloaded his gun right in front of her. "Daddy, don't!" Elissa screams. He kneels down towards her. "Elissa, the town has changed and the United States. Remember the vaccinations that I never want you and my wife to get?" He asks. "Yes," Elissa replies. "It's making people nuts and sick. Sicker than a serial killer. Whatever happens, you must stay close by even by mother because the baby is coming very soon." Father Luke tells Elissa. Elissa nodded and tries not to cry. "Don't cry, stay by." Father Luke hugs her daughter and kisses her on her forehead. "Attention all citizens, a major break out from the hospitals all across the United States. Citizens who got the shots were driven mad. People in there homes, lock the door and keep supplies close by until the government has issued to less the stress of the problem." The news woman said on TV. The father walks over and shuts it off. "Do we have to leave town, Daddy?" Elissa asks. "Not when your mother is pregnant." Daddy replies. Mother rushes in and slams the front door and quickly locks it. "Water broke?" He asks. "Not yet, there's one heck of a mob out there." She replies. "Heather, get away from the door. You two, get upstairs." Father commands. Mother Heather grabs my young old sister and they ran upstairs. " "Oh wait, I forgot, get into the backyard and go for the shelter. It has plenty of food and water that'll last for a lifetime!" Daddy yells from the first floor. "Take my hand." Mother grabs Elissa's hand then ran back down stairs. Mother seemed to be out of breath. She slide the back door open and ran outside. They can hear the screams very loud. The mob is getting closer to the house. The mother opened the shelter doors that were like trapdoors. "Get in," she tells Elissa. Elissa rushed to the basement or shelter as fast as she can with her little legs. Heather slammed the shelter door. She walked down the steps trying not to trip. She kneeled down and squinted like she was in pain. "Get father, Elissa, quickly." Heather breathes and groans. Then she felt something wet coming down into her pants. Elissa just stood staring at her. "Momma, lay down." Elissa says. "I'll do, go get dad, now." Mother replies. Elissa nodded and heads back up the basement steps. She opens the shelter door and shuts it quietly. Elissa slides open the back door then heads inside. "Daddy!" She calls out. Elissa found daddy right in front of the door. She can hear pounding screaming. "Elissa, go to the shelter now!" Daddy yells out. "Daddy, mother is in pain!" Elissa yells. His eyes wide open. He then locks the door. "Sprint hurry, the lock won't hold them back, don't make to much noise!" Daddy says. Elissa sprints back slide door and heads outside. Father was just right behind her. The pounds and screams were just echoing in the air. Elissa open the basement trapdoors. "Get inside!" Daddy tells Elissa. Elissa never had seen her father more alert in his life. Elissa heads to mother while she was screaming in pain from every contraction. They were getting stronger. Father shuts the basement doors and locks them. Good thing the basement was finished. The only the angry mob can go in is from the outside trapdoor. "Hold mother's hand, Elissa. Whatever you do, don't scream so loud. Heather, keep the yelling as quietly as you can." Father says. "I'm trying! It's hard not to scream when you are wrecking in pain and contractions!" Mother moans in pain very loud. Elissa grabs onto her mother's hand. Elissa was gasping and sweating like she was filled with so much anxiety. Father puts over a pillow over Heather's head. He then grab blankets and put it under her legs. "Elissa, look away because it's about to get rough in your little eyes." Father commands. Father takes off mother's pants. Heather groans in pain and lets out a small yell. "When another contraction happens, push." Father commands. Mother's face was sweating and panting. Next, another painful contraction as when mother pushes and tries not to yell. "Push like you are going to the bathroom!" He tells mother. "It's not easy when there's something in your stomach weighing like a bowling ball!" Mother replies back while pushing. "I can see the head, keep pushing!" He says. Mother kept on pushing. Then a gasp and a cry was heard. "It's a girl!" Father cries. Mother sweats in relief. He takes the baby covered in blood. He sets it on the blankets. The new born still continued to cry. Father Luke grabs a pair a scissors from the basement shelf and cuts the umbilical cord. The baby started to stop crying. He wraps the girl in a small blanket and carries it to Heather. She began to cry with tears of joy. She puts the wrapped up baby on her chest. Bang! A loud pound that sounded like a gun shoot, however it was right above them. Then wood started to rip. The screeches was heard from above. "I got to go, Elissa take care of mother." Daddy commands. Elissa nodded and lay down and snuggle her mother with her new born sister. Fathe rushes out the shelter and slams it quickly and tightly. He runs into the house holding his machine gun. The people that were vaccinated look terrifying and inhuman. Dry bloody crack skin. Bright eyes. Clothes looked bloody, dirty, and ragged. They looked pale. He aims the machine gun at them. He fires at him. The baby starts to cry. Heather snuggles her to ease the cries. "You'll be okay, you'll be okay." Heather says while she sniffles. Dead zombies were laying down upon the floor with gun shots on their bodies. He took a deep breath. He turned around to head back to the slide door. He heard a yell behind him and he toppled down to the floor. A infected person was on him. Father struggled to let go. He shot him with the gun. The infected person fell down the floor dead. Father stood back up and head outside and goes back into the shelter. Elissa sits up. "Dad, you're left shoulder is bleeding!" She yells out. He removed the left sleeve. He was shocked to see what he mostly feared, a bite. "No, no, no!" He cries. "This can't be happening." Elissa stands there about the cry as well as mother. "I am infected. I am not turning into one of those things!" "Luke, don't put stress onto yourself, you'll turn alot faster. It takes two hours to the symptoms to come in and days until the metamorphosis is completed." Mother says. He grabs the pistol in his pocket. He slides two other guns even the machine gun towards Heather, Elissa, and the new born baby girl. The girls watched silently crying even the new born child. He aimed the pistol towards his head. "Goodbye, my loves." He tears up. "Luke, no!" Heather screams. Too late. He pulled the trigger a pressure pound came out and went through Luke's skull. He fell down to the basement floor on his side, dead. "Daddy!" Elissa cries. Mother sits up while cuddling the baby and snuggles with Elissa. "It's okay, you still got me." Mother says. "You got a new sister with you, too." "Owinna?" Elissa says. Mother giggles. "Is that the name we are going to call your new sister?" She asks. Elissa nodded. "Yeah." She says. "Welcome your new sister, Owinna, by your side as long you may live." Heather says. Elissa smiles and Heather gives Owinna to Elissa. Elissa snuggles her gently. _______________________________________ "Hundreds people dead after one night of pain." A news reporter once said. "They're dead bodies all over the streets and homes." Another newsman said. "Government decided to take action to handle this madness. One large quaratine per state." Another reporter says. "Bitten people were shot killed by officers. People who refused to enter the quarantine, were left to handle on their own. Infected people would be shot dead, sleep in the ice, or sent restained in the mental hospital." A newsman explains. "I never been so scared of my life." A citizen says. "Human extinction is on the rise by people." Another citizen shares a thought. "This a man made apocalypse, a Zombie Infection Apocalypse." Chapter II *15 years later* Birthday aren't special to my sister and I anymore even though we've grown one year of age to the next one. Celebration comes afterwards of a bad time, the bad time we are in is a Zombie Infection Apocalypse. It's nice to spent your lifetime in a toxic dump. Mother Heather isn't here anymore she died five years ago from a illness because of stress. We are still depressed about her death, she'll be missed. Father got bitten by the infected. He shot himself to death in front of my own new born eyes. "Owinna, wake up!" Elissa shakes me. "We are running low on food, we must snag something!" I groaned and ignored her. I am still dreaming asleep. I felt a smack upon my face. That really shot me up. "Ow, you idiot!" I seethe at Elissa. "Owinna, want to starve to death, then stay here. We are leaving the shelter now to get some grub then we head back." Elissa told me. "Good luck, most food should've been out of date by now." I smiled. Elissa smacked me again. "Don't give me a smart alic remake, you're fifteen years old and you act like a child when she is doing her homework." She says. "I am still a girl on puberty." I commented back. "No jokes, Owinna, come now." Elissa stands up. "Time to get serious, it's not play time." "I know, you just smacked me in my sleep, girl. I need my sleep." I stand up along with her. She rolled her eyes. Elissa tossed me a gun. We reloaded them. "Time to head out;" She says. Elissa moves up to the basement trapdoor and removes the lock. We went out. Morning fresh air was roaming. Birds were singing, however the place was brought to a halt after what happened fifteen years ago on my birthday. I am such a special baby. "We are heading through the house, keep your eyes open." Elissa told me. I nodded. She slide open the back door. We aim our guns around. No one around. "It's clear." I said. "Okay good, let's move." Elissa says. She's acting like she's part of the army or some kind of spy organization, oh well, just following her leads. There was no sound of zombies and smells like decomposition. I cover my mouth trying not to vomit. "What's that smell?" I asked. "Someone's dead body." Elissa says while we are walking to the entrance area of the house. The smell got so much intense. "Ewww, that's nasty!" I yelled when I saw a bunch of dead zombies on the floor. "How long they've been here?" I asked. "Since you were born, Owinna." Elissa replies. "They're dead because father killed them." Elissa opens the broken front door. "Let's move out, stay close by, the infected can be anywhere in this lousy neighborhood." Elissa and I head out of the house. Abandon streets and leftfull chaos was among. "The infection is wrecking the whole country." I said. "I know, it wasn't like this until scientists came up with a idea of vaccines that's full of such failure." Elissa replies. We turned and walked down the streets carrying a gun in our hands. Elissa taught me how to reload, aim, and fire a gun. We walked down to a abandon food store. Grass, mist, and dust was filled the hollow store. "Snag some chips and some other stuff that can be useful." Elissa says. "Get some beverage too while you are at it, I am going to the heart of the store to see if they gotten some ammo." The decomposition smell is still lingering in my nose. I grab some chips and look at the date. No due date. This shall be alright. I went behind the countertop. The security cameras must be disabled due to everything shut down fifteen years ago. I pull some bags and I even pulled the cash register opened. I grab the paper dough instead of the coins. I stuffed it in one of the bags. I put the chips into another one. I walk to the coolers and opened them. "I'm suprised they still work." I said. I grab soda and water bottles. I put them into another bag. I saw Elissa come in open a two door entrance from the heart of the store. "No ammo, you got something?" She asks. "Chips, soda, and cash." I replied. Elissa rolled her eyes. "Let's move on to the next store, better be something useful." Elissa says. I groaned. She looked at me. "Owinna, put that gun in your pocket and carry the bags in one hand. When that's full, move it to the next. That's why everyone's born with two hands." Elissa and I head out of the abandon store. "The mall part is where bunch of supplies are, but watch out of the infected." Elissa informs. "Keep your eyes open." We kept down walking on the street and I saw a big building in the distance. "Should we just go to the quarantine?" I asked. "I am not turning into some strict school of living, so no." Elissa replies. "We both can live if you stick together." As we got closer, the foggy distance of the mall faded form view. It looks like it got bombed in some parts and caved in. Yet, still quiet. No sign of the infected or zombies. "It's quiet, let's move in." I said. "You got my back." Elissa says, "then I'll have yours." We entered the mall. Holes in the rooftop and some walls of the mall looked caved in. "Mostly, mother sneaks out during the night when we were asleep. Keep it quiet, don't cause any attention to the infected." Elissa, my sister explains. "All you want to do is ended up getting bitten." We head to the first door which is a gun store. "Don't snag too much money, if some hunters from the quarantine like two miles away find us, they'll take it if it's too much money." Elissa informs me. "I'm going to deer hunting store to find ammo and clothes. Let's move out." I walk into the gun store called "Ammo and Shoot." Just when I enter the store, I've head screeches. Screaming of the infected. "Owinna, watch out, the infected!" I hear Elissa alerting me. I dropped the bags that I was carrying. I can hear the infected coming closer and closer. "Hurry!" I told myself. I use my elbow to smash the glass that was holding the guns and ammo. That's really going to help bring the infected over. I shove the ammo in the bags. "Owinna, check for any button, it might shut the metal gate down, so the infected won't enter!" Elissa yells. "Okay, got it!" I replied. I look behind the check out area. There was a area with a green and red button. I hit the red one. I here a beep. I checked the metal gate was sliding down closing the entrance of the shop. When it hit the ground, I breathe of relief. "I'm closed in!" I yelled out. "Good, wait until the infected passes or I can find the way my out to reach you without getting hit by zombies!" I hear Elissa replying. The store was now dark and dusty. The good thing, it wasn't cold. It was in the summer. I grab the rest of the ammo. The infected are louder now which means I'm close. I pulled the cash register opened. I take out some dollars. To save some room, I put it in my pocket. I even took the money from the bag and put it in my pocket. I hear a knock from the back of the shop. "Sis, open it up! I found a way out. The infected is coming!" I hear my sister, Elissa, said to me. I grab the bags of ammo, food, beverages, and pistols. I walk to the back door. I opened it up leading me to the heart of the gun shop. I found another right ahead. I opened it up. A fresh breeze with a sky was there, however my sister, Elissa, was standing right in the way! "Come, let's go." She turns her back against me. She was holding a large bag. "Come on, this stuff is heavy." I walk outside and the door slammed right behind me. We began to jog. The infected was pounding the doors right inside the mall probably the entrance of the gun shop. "I got some ammo and pistols." I told her. "Good, now let's head back." Elissa replies. When we entered our house, we were greeted by the aroma of rotten flesh. "Can we just get rid of these infected bodies?" I asked her. "No, it's too disgusting." Elissa replies. "It'll get worst if we let them sit here." I informed her. "Maybe, we will move them some day. Right now, not a good time, Owinna." Elissa replies again. We walk to the slide door. We were in the backyard finally. We head to the shelter. We went down, we put the bags on the floor. We have fencing all around the backyard, the infected must come at them hard in order to break through to get to us. "Did we lose the infected?" I asked. "It seemed so." Elissa replies. She goes into the large bag and pulled out thick puffy clothes that were colour of camouflage. "Turn around." She commands me. I rolled my eyes as I turned around. I can hear her getting undressed and dressed into the camouflage clothing. "I went into a army store as well." She says. "You can now turn around." I turned around. I opened my eyes. She wasn't in one of those camouflage suits. Elissa was in jeans and a black jacket. She looks well with a pony tail. If guys were looking at her, they'll drool. "Here, put on this." She tosses me jeans and a red long sleeve shirt. I catched it with my hands. "Thanks." I said while I stand up. She looked right at me. "Uh, can you please turn around?" Elissa groans as she turns around. I get undressed leaving my bra and underpants on. I put the red long sleeve shirt on and the jeans. It was comfortable and it fit. "Okay, you can turn around now." I told Elissa. She did. Soon, a rain storm came in. No lightning, but a bit of thunder. Elissa closes the shelter door and locks it. I went into our sleeping bags. The infected was mostly in the huge populated areas like a mall or a city. The small of decomposing flesh is still in my nostrils. Overall, it's beautiful to go outside. "How long do we have to go back outside" I asked her. "Maybe tomorrow to shoot some of the infected, so the area can be clear for about couple of days." Elissa replies. "Right now, get some sleep." "Okay," I replied. "Good night." Elissa rolls her eyes. It's probably a pain to sleep upon the floor even though it has carpeting on it. Whatever. I relaxed and went to bed. Chapter III "Wake up, rise and shine." Elissa says above me. "You sleep so late." I sit up and let my eyes wake up for a bit. I wiped them and I looked at Elissa. "Here," she throws a gun on my lap. "We need to take down some of the infected." Elissa says. I grabbed the gun and stand up. Elissa unlocks the shelter's door and we head out once again. We head to the house. "Check the house, make sure some of the zombies aren't hiding anywhere." Elissa tells me. "Okay," I replied and head to the entrance then head up the stairs. I pound against the wall. No screeches, groans, or the infected moans. "No zombies up here!" I yelled out. I went back down and catched up to Elissa. The rain was still pouring in from last night. It was not cold, it was muggy and cool. We walk down the streets. We stopped when we heard wheels on concrete. "What is that?" I asked. "The quaratine guards, they're hunting the neighborhood, looking for suvivors." Elissa replies. "Hide!" She takes me hand and we took shelter in the house next door. We stopped moving when we saw infected person in chains screeching at us. We heard a gun clicking behind us. "Don't move!" A hear a woman's voice while I felt a gun to my head. "Kneel down." We immediately obeyed. The woman walked in front of us. We were suprised to see a young woman with black hair to the side with piercings. "Who are you, our neighbor?" I asked. "State your identity." The woman says. "I'm Owinna Anderson and this is my Elissa Anderson." I explained. "Where did you come from?" She asks again. "The house next door of yours." I replied. She paused for a minute. Next, she kicked my sister in the stomach. Elissa bent over grunting. "Don't hurt my sister, you arsehole!" I yelled. The woman stared at me. "Shut up, I'm doing the same to you if you don't bent over!" She seethes. I bent over. The woman was checking if we are bitten or infected. "Good, you're cleaned." She says and sighs of relief. We stand backed up holding our guns. "Who are you? You never told us." I asked. "Macey Maxton. I am nineteen years old." She explains. We hear a growl from the chained infected person. "Would you please shut up, Ellen?" Macey yelled and smacked the zombie. We gave her a blank stare. "Just shoot her, she's long gone anyways." My sister tells her. The girl groans in anger and shoots Ellen, the zombie, to death. "There, happy?" Macey groans. "Of course we are, thank you." Elissa replies in a smart alic remark. "Plus there's a bunch of quarantine hunters trying to find us." "Damn it!" Macey grunts. We heard the front door slammed open. "Nobody move or else we will shoot!" A quarantine hunter threatens. "Kneel down!" Elissa, Macey, and I kneel down to our knees. We put our hands behind our heads. "We got couple of civilians outside of the Section A Quaratine." A quarantine hunter whispers into the walkie talkie. A hunter walks over and scans us with a small tool gun. "They're good." The hunter declares. "Turn around and it'll be worth your while." Macey says with a smirk. "Hush and shut up!" The hunter seethes. "We were all fine until you arseholes showed up." Macey hisses. The hunter aimed the gun at her. "I said shut up! Want me to shoot?" He yells. "All of you be quiet!" Another hunter yells. Next, he kicked my back. I yelled and my hands hit the floor. "I never did anything to you." I snarled. The hunter grabs my hands and handcuffs me. "What are we prisoner to you?" I asked. "I didn't say you are. You are going to Section A Quaratine." The hunter told me. "You and your sisters." "I am not their sister!" Macey growls. Elissa and Macey was put into handcuffs. We were taken to Section A Quaratine by a van. "Keep your heads down and walk in a line!" The hunter commands. We got locked up in a room that's white. We sit at one side of the table. A authority sat at the opposite of the table. He looks towards me. "State your name." He says. "Owinna Anderson." I replied. "Date of birth?" He asks again. "The day when all hell broke loose." I replied. "June 8, 2016?" He asks. I nodded. "I am now fifteen." I said. "Who's your father and mother?" He asked again. "Dead!" Elissa replies loud. "Father commit suicide while Owinna is born because he was infected. Mother died from an illness while she was ten." "I didn't ask you." The authority said sternly. "I am her sister. I'm nineteen. Born on January 19, 2012. Owinna is born four years after me. I know more stuff than her because I am older. Her mother and I helped her survive this death hole." Elissa commented. The authority shook his head and turned to Macey. "I'm Macey Maxton. I am also nineteen years old. My dad was a hunter and mother was dead a month right after I was born. Dad died from a heart attack. He taught me me lessons. I was born upon August 12, 2012 and bla, bla, bla, shit!" "Language!" He yelled out. He sighs. "I think I've heard enough, security!" The authorities walked into the room and stand right behind us. "Take those three into a house. Tell their roomates they got three extra." The authority tells the security. The nodded and grabbed us by the arms. "Let us go, we were happy when you didn't capture us. I thought you leave people on their own if they refuse to go into the quarantines?" Macey asks the authority. "We used to, however we must keep everyone safe of the infection." Authority replies. "Send them off, now." The security grabbed the hold of us and we left the building. They kept on pushing us around the enclosed town or I should say ghetto. People were standing around looking at us. "Back off, this isn't a show!" Macey hisses at them. "Shut up!" A officer hits Macey upon the head. I roll my eyes. I can't believe my sister and I got this girl who knows how to start a riot or a blood bath. We turned into some looking like apartment building. The security knocks on it. A man opens it and stares at us like a bunch of freaks. "These are your new roomates, they've been found outside the Section A Quaratine. Make sure they don't escape." The security tells him. "Okay, I'll keep an eye on them." He says. The officer releases our hands from the handcuffs. I shook my hands around. We entered inside. "Hello, welcome to my tenement," the male says. "You'll be staying her for a while." "Forever." Macey mumbles. Then four other people came out. Two girls and two guys. They all look so young or teenage like. "I am Harper Willsmith." The blue hair girl with blue eyes said. "I am going to call you Smurf for now on." Macey commented. "I am Aliza Digger." The red head girl said. It feels like we are meeting our neighbors all over again. "I am going to call you BloodHead." Macey makes up a nickname. I am going to punch Macey so hard in the throat. "I'm Ash Lo." The male with the brown hair and greeted us earlier says. "Okay, Ash Hole." Macey replies. "Who's next to greet?" "I'm Boron Timber." A teenage boy that looks like he's hunting for blood. "I'll slit your throat if you came up with a nickname." "My name is Carlos Micoy." A young boy that looked similar to my age. "Nice to meet you all. Want to tell us about your lives outside the quarantine?" He suggests. "Better than being trapped in this ghetto." Macey replies. "I am Macey Maxton, nineteen years of age, zombie hunter and tamer. I was fine until I was in this joint." "I am Elissa Anderson, nineteen years of age, dad is infected and dead, mom is dead. We live so much better out of this hole of death." Elissa rolls her eyes. "Owinna Anderson," I greeted myself. "I help along with my sister, Elissa. I was born when all the riots started." "You three, your room is on the third floor and the first one to the left." Ash Lo says. "Okay," I nodded. Macey, Elissa, and I followed Ash's directions. Third floor and first room of the left. All we see is a dull bedroom with four cotton beds. "My life is ruin. I want to leave this place." Macey sighs. "Wait for it, Macey, they'll know we will leave this place immediately, give it time is right." I told her. "Let's hope weeks come sooner, right now it feels like an eternity. If I was going to die, I will stay in this place." Macey plops her bottom on the cotten bed. "We might have more buddies to join with us." Elissa says. "How are we going to get out of this rotten ragged?" "Get out of the damn country, that's for sure." Macey says. "Whatever we do, don't get bit." Elissa and I took guns from our belts. I even pulled out money. "Owinna, keep that in the pockets, they'll take it and hide the guns under the bed. We will kill if someone opposes us." Elissa commands. Macey and I put our weapons under our beds. Next, Harper Willsmith opened our door. "Buds?" She says. "Yes?" Elissa asks. "Everyday there's a infection scan, if you do, you'll die." She informs us. "You would also get schedules." How funny that we have to work for some powerful authorities? I would rather work on my own instead of this crap. "Thank you for the info." I told her. Harper shuts the door. We all turned towards Macey. "We are definitely leaving soon. Out of this ghetto and out of this ragged crap." I said to them. "Pffff. Shoot, kill, hunt, and survive, sounds like a gang to me." Macey replies. "We live in South Dokata, how are we going to leave?" Elissa asks. "Canada," I said. "Take the airport and far away from this country as possible. "Sweden sounds like a good place to be." Macey suggests. "Looks like we are going to Sweden." Elissa applies. Chapter IV *** "Get up!" I hear Ash's voice coming into the room. "You three are going to get a doctor examination." "Hey, Ash Hole." Macey groans. I get off my bed and my neck hurts so bad. I swirl my neck around until I felt it crack. "Owinna, Elissa, Macey, time to go." Ash Lo says outside the door. "We are coming!" Macey yells. We three head out of our rooms. We left the tenement and walk among the streets of the quarantine. "Kneel down and put your hands up!" I hear one of the security yell from across the street. I watched two people one young man and woman. The security put the scanner on them. "They miss they're scanning test. Probably they are infected and sneaked out." Ash Lo says. I've heard a loud beeping noise from the scanner. "They are infected!" A security yells while taking out his gun. I felt Ash nudging me. "Don't draw attention to them, they were stupid to sneak out anyways." He tells me. "Boohoo, we've been out of this place for fifteen years until the hunters were dumb enough to bring us in here." Macey says. We head towards a large hospital building. We head up to the front desk. "These free need a physical examination." Ash says to the nurse at the front desk. "Okay," she stands up. "You three, right this way." We followed the nurse into a large room that has metal bed. I sat on it and it felt like a rock to my back. I had to get into a blue patient suit that smells like pomrade. A doctor and a security guard came in. "We are just going examine you for any health problems and assign what job you are going to be in." The doctor tells me. "Lay down." I immediately obey. "How old are you?" He asks. "Fifteen." I replied. "You are new to the quarantine. How's life outside of it?" The doctor asks. "I wasn't even afraid of the infected. My sister and I were working together and we survived to this very day." I replied. "Who's your sister?" He asks. "Elissa," I answered, "Elissa Anderson." The doctor felt my pulse and my gut. "What time did you last ate?" He asks. "Yesterday." I replied. "I would like to say you are muscle and bone, girl." He commented. My back started to really hurt right now. "You are very pretty chick, as well." "What?" I gave him a suprised look. I couldn't believe the doctor said that. Great, my doctor is a pervert, most likely. He then grab a first aid luggage. He took at a needle. "Give me your arm." He says. I extended my arm out. "What is that?" I asked. "Immunity scanner." He replies and driven the needle beneath my skin. It hurt like hell. When he pushed the scanner under my skin, it hurt twice as more. I hold my breath and tried not to scream. He walked out of the room. Minutes have passed, the doctor came back in. He gave my a schedule of my job. He assigned me as a hunter. Oh great. "Your training begins tomorrow." He says. "You may leave now." I got off the hard rocky metal hospital bed and left. I meet up with Elissa. "What job you were assigned?" She asks. "Hunter. I have to hunt outside of the perimeter of the Quarantine." I replied. "Good thing we both got the same jobs." Elissa sighs in relief then we saw Macey walking up to us. "What job did you got?" I asked. "Being a nasty girl." She replies. "Not, I am hunter which is bull crap, I like to hunt on my own terms. Rebels don't like being slaves to other powerful crap." "Totally agree," I replied. We walked back to our tenement. Carlos opened the door and gave me a googley eye stare. I can see he's trying not to blush. "You got assign as hunters?" He asked. "Yes." Elissa replies. "We mostly are except Ash Lo is a scanner and Harper is a nurse." Carlos replies. We head back to our bedrooms and check under the mattresses. "What day are we leaving?" Macey asks. "After this first day of crap, we are leaving right after midnight." I said. "I am coming right with you, too." Smurf known as Harper walks in. "This place is horrendous, I wanted to leave." She says. "We are heading to Canada and flying to Sweden, that's our escape plan." Macey tells her. "Don't tell anybody." Then the bad boy looking Boron walked in. "I'm coming with you too. This place is rotten ghetto." He says. "What are you guys taking about?" Carlos peaks into the room. "Planning to escape." Harper replies. Oh no, please no. "I am coming with you." He says. He probably wants to be with me. "Okay, belongs you don't tell anybody." I replied. He jumps up. "Yes." He says with excitement. What a wierdo? Now we have Harper, Boron, and Carlos coming with us to Sweden. Anyone else wanted to come along? Chapter V At one in the morning, less police done their patrol. Macey, Elissa, and I were the only ones up because we didn't want risking anyone to get into danger yet and try to find a good way out. "It's past curfew, we must stay hidden." I told them. "They can try to stop us, but they won't." Macey replies. We quickly sneaked out of the apartment. We walk among the dead of night streets the quarantine. A border surrounds us, there was no way out. Next, we found a off limit building. It looked old and looks like it's about to cave in. "This looks like this can be the escape route." Macey suggests. She walks in. "Macey, it says off limits." Elissa replies. Macey smirks and rolls her eyes. "Don't be such a wussy over some bullshit they put up." She snickers. "Come on." Elissa and I looked at each other then head in. I guess Macey is the Apocalypse Mocking Jay. There was a deep hole in the ground. Macey jumped in. We followed after her. It was dark and wet. I can hear water dripping. "Oh my gosh, sounds like this place hasn't been use in years." Elissa comments. "Everything wasn't use in years except of this P.O.S quarantine." Macey replies. We walked deeper into the tunnel. There was a dead end up ahead. "What the hell?" Macey says loudly. "I didn't come in here for nothing." She begans to punch the dead end multiple times while grunting upon every punch. The wall finally lost its stable. It caves in backwards revealing a floor concrete ground and dust. Next, we heard screeches. "Oh shit, the infected!" Macey yells. We began to turn around. "Run!" I yelled out. We ran back to where we came from. We can hear the zombies right behind us. I was ahead than Macey and Elissa is a bit behind. "Ahhh!" I hear Elissa yelling. I turned around. Elissa tripped and fell to the ground. I kneel down and helped her get back up. Zombies charge at us groaning like in anger. Elissa turned me around. We began to run again. Next, Elissa felt a stingy pressure pain feeling on her wrist. She didn't look at it, Elissa kept on running. We climbed up the hole that was the entrance to the tunnel. Macey, Elissa, and I ran out the condemned building and ran back to our tenement. We opened the door silently as we could. Ash Lo was standing there with his arms hugging himself in a ticked off position. "Carlos reported hearing you guys sneaking out." He says. "You know it's right after curfew." "Screw curfew!" Elissa hisses at him. He looked down at her wrist. "Elissa, your arm." He says. She looks down. Her eyes widen and she gasped. Blood was all over her wrist and deep holes bite through her jacket and her wrist. She was bitten. "No, no, no!" She removes her jacket and looks at her bite. "I'm infected." A red glow appeared beneath Elissa's arm. "She's got bit of immunity in her. We don't know if the security is going to accept her after the scan." Boron says. "She's partially immune to the infection." Elissa kept on gasping and trying to hold her tears down. "We all have to leave before morning." Harper says. "No, they'll track us and we all be prosecuted." Carlos complains. "Hunter my ass," Macey says. "This is an order to protect Elissa. We will be long gone when they broke into our home." "I ain't going to leave yet." Carlos says. "I am unsure right now." "It's now or never, Carlos. We don't trust anyone here. If we leave you behind, the second behind they break down this door, they'll force you to answer to where we are and track us down and I'll be killed no matter what if I am partially immuned." Elissa replies. Carlos rolls his eyes. "Fine! If I get bit, it's on your behalf." He says. Bloodhead, Carlos, Harper, Boron, and Ash Lo are coming with us to escape the agoney of the apocalypse. We are going to protect Elissa no matter what she's going to turn into a zombie. We also don't know how much she's immuned. Chapter VI Elissa, Macey, and I walk to our room and grab our weapons and supplies. Ash opened the door. "I need to hide this bite." Elissa says. "I don't want to get caught." I took off my jacket and gave it to her exposing my red shirt. "Thanks," she says. "Before we go to Canada, we are going to our homes to get our stuff." Macey tells Ash. "Canada is also very cold up there." Says Aliza. "We got some clothes for the winter." I replied. "There's going be no winter for me." Elissa sighs. "Stop doubting it, Elissa, you are partially immune, it's not going to be bad." Macey tells her. "Everyone is making out alive!" I yelled out. "Everyone including Elissa." "It's just a stupid bite and infection." Elissa adds in. "It is stupid bite and illness because it was created by scientists who didn't know what they were doing and now it's their fault for making this madness all happen. The awful thing is that scientists aren't being punished while we are!" I yelled out again. "Well everyone is blaming the lowly citizens, why don't we escape now, I don't want to live in poverty?" Aliza says. I smiled and ran to the kitchen and found a knife stack. I grab a couple of them. I ran back up. "Here." I tossed Ash, Carlos, Boron, Aliza, and Harper a knife. Harper and Aliza were able to catch it even Boron. Carlos dodged it and then picked it up. Ash catched it, but he cut himself then he dropped it on the floor. Macey groans. "Carlos and Ash, you guys are wussies with a damn kitchen knife." She says. "It's your ally and only hope for protection against the infected." "How are we going to leave?" Carlos asks. I smiled. "The condemned building." We left the apartment and shut the lights off then locked door. We can see a slightest bit of sunrise. I took my gun out. "The condemned building is where Elissa got bitten by zombies or infected. Keep knifing them and we are able to escape." We all jumped into the hole that lead us into a cave. The water was still dripping from the moist cold top. The infected were in the clear so far. We came to the wall that Macey raided to the ground. Macey steps forward and looks around from the other side. "It's clear so far, but keep your eyes open." She hops in. We nodded and walked over the debris that was left over the ground. "It's dusty." Elissa coughs. "Eat my dust." Macey replies. We walk to a loose closed wooden door up ahead. We opened it. No screeches of the infected yet. "I liked when the infected was here." I looked at Macey like she was insane person. "You nuts?" I asked. "The infected is trying to kill us." "They remind me of Ellen, my girlfriend." Macey replies. "She got bit while on a hunt." "You lesbian?" Carlos asks. "No, I'm bisexual. Don't discriminate me, accept me." Macey answers. We opened the door. It lead to a stairwell and the stairwell lead to a trapdoor. Macey walks up to it. "Open it silently, don't cause attention to the hunters." I told her. "Shoot them and run." Macey informs me. "They're just scared that they'll bring in some of the infected." "Humanity and the government is perishing, just let it." Aliza says. Macey pushed the trap doors open. It lead to the darkness outside the quarantine. We silently move out as quietly as we can. Carlos shuts it. "Come on," Elissa starts jogging. "We are going to grab supplies from our homes then we are moving to Canada." "How long is going to take?" Carlos asks. "Minutes, if you quit your complaining." Elissa replies. "Let's go." Elissa, Macey, and I began to jog. "Slow pokes, better get moving." Macey says. "We are!" Harper and the others began to jog. After minutes, we saw our road that Elissa and I lived upon including Macey. We go into Macey's house. "Why is there infected girl chained to the wall?" Ash asks. "That's Ellen, she's dead. The partial immuned girl told me to kill her." Macey replies and looks towards Elissa. Elissa gives her a death glare. "Is that disease kicking in, Elissa?" Macey asks. Elissa says nothing. "Probably is," I answered. "I'll keep an eye on her." Macey leads us to the basement of her home. Suprise thing is that she has more supplies than we do. "Ellen and I stole food from the supermarket and the mall even supplies." Macey says. "We also got a truck in the garage that's fully loaded with gas we stole from the gas tanks from other vehicles and stations. We can load this stuff up and move along." "Okay, Elissa and I are going back to our house to grab some stuff. You load it up. We are at the next house if you need us." I informed them. "Don't get yourself killed and protect Elissa." Harper says. "I will. I am not afraid." I replied. Elissa and I jogged out of Macey's house and jog to ours. Yet, I was greeted by the decomposing corpses of the infected. It's getting stronger everyday. Even worst, maggots and flies are on them eating them away. We head to the back slide door. Elissa opens it. She opened it so fast that I thought it'll shatter the glass. Elissa ran and open the shelter doors which it almost snapped off. "Elissa, take it easy before you break something." I warned her. She gave me a death glare. "Elissa, control it, it's going to faster if you let it happened." "I am controlling it, I'm just getting agressive." She replies. Finally, Elissa talks to me. "It's taking control of your brain than takes over your physical. You partially infected and you can take over it while the non-immuned ones didn't. Better be lucky." I told her. Elissa and I grab weapons, food, and clothes for our trip. We left the shelter door open and head back to Macey's house. They were ready. "Get enough dough to get through the Canadian Borders?" Macey asks. "We are sneaking through. We need to get out of the country before we all get infected. If someone is trying to kill us, Elissa will kill them. She's already showing the signs of agressiveness." I reply. "Then put those bags in the trunk and let's go." Macey commands. We head to the garage and put the bags in. Macey straps the supplies down, so it doesn't fly off. "We will be out of Section A Quaratine before dawn. We will stay away from other sections. I brought a map and a watch." Macey says. "We will be in Canada in a about couple of days." I said. "We must stay together. We will stop if I need to rob some money and food." All of us hopped into the truck. Aliza, Ash, and Harper were in the back. Macey, Elissa, and I were in the front. Boron is on the back of the trunk near the machine gun which is attached to the truck. Boron jumps off the truck and opens the garage door. Next, the screeches of the infected are coming. "Boron, get on quickly!" I roll up my window and yelled out. Boron runs and gets back onto the truck. He stands near the machine gun ready to fire. Macey floors it and we took off. Abandon cars among the street way is difficult to drive in even in the dark. The headlights only shine us to where we were going. "Once we get on the highway in the city, we will be fine." Macey says while driving. We can see the mob of the infected. Mob full of people with bright eyes and dry bloody skin. I doubt that the lotion will work on them. They were screaming while coming closer and closer. "Boron, get ready," Macey says. "We are going directly at them. "I've been waiting for shooting these little mother truckers!" Boron says with a smile. Carlos and Aliza close their eyes. From a centimeter from the mob, Boron began to shoot the machine right at them. It looks like a firing small shooting star from my view. Macey even ran over lots of them. "Boo-yeah!" Macey says out loud. "That's how you kill infected!" Boron kept on shooting as the mile wide mob kept charing at us while Macey is mowing them with the truck. I roll down my window and stick my head out. "Owinna, be careful!" Carlos yells out. I bent over and took out a grenade from a army box. I threw it into the infected crowd. Boom! I explosion louder than thunder was head. Meanwhile, up ahead zombies corpses burst everywhere. I took my python gun and shoot at them. Zombies get hit and collapse down onto the road. I put my head in back into the truck then rolled up my window. We reached the end of the infected mob trail. Boron slide open the small back window. "Any of you like a fruit punch mixed with intestines?" He asks with a frantic laugh. I rolled down my window once again. I look what's behind us. A trail of blood and dead mushed corpses were behind us. That doesn't scare me or gross me out. I rolled up the window. Macey turned onto the highway that's going to lead us deeper into the city. The journey is going to get more insane! Chapter VII Crack of dawn, we reached towards the middle of the city. Macey stopped the truck on the breaks for a minute. "What's wrong, Macey?" I asked. "Going to check with Boron for a minute." Macey replies while unbuckling then opening the truck door. She hops then closes it. Macey heads to the back of the truck where Boron is. "Enjoying the back?" She asks. "Yes," Boron replies. "Okay, good. We are middle of the city, it's about to get real rough here. We are near another quarantine called Section B which is worst than Section A." Macey says. Boron moves his neck around to crack it. "Let's get some of this!" He yells out. Macey goes back to the driver spot and starts up the truck. She floors it. I rolled up my window. No zombies nor hunters coming after us yet. The truck kept on speeding up faster and faster. Macey hit some broken down abandon cars, making them flip over to their side. "Slow down, Macey." Elissa says. "Nein!" Macey refuse. She picks up the speed. "We are getting close to the North Dokata borders. Fasten your seat belts." Next, Elissa grunted like she's under stress. "My skin is burning." Elissa groans. "Give me your arm." I commanded. She immediately obeys. I then lifted up the sleeve and it reveals the skin is starting to get dry and cracked. "She's getting physical signs." I said. "Elissa is now getting physical symptoms of the infection." "Watch out!" I hear Harper yell at Macey. I turned around and my view I saw a road block with tanks filled with survivors that look like they are terrorists. "Oh shit!" Macey slams on her breaks. Bang! A shot was heard from one of the cannons. A flaming ball was coming towards us. "Get out of the car!" I yelled. I opened my door and jumped out and soon Elissa. Macey and Harper and Carlos jumped out of the backseat. Boron jumped from the back of the truck. Aliza was left in there while the cannon ball hit the truck. A major bright ball of orange flame filled my view as I looked back while laying down upon the road. I felt the heat of the explosion. I can hear the sound like a bomb of roaring flames even Aliza's screams. I use my hands to crawl myself to stand back up and look towards the border of the survivor terrorists. "You arseholes, we are trying to get out of this mess!" I yelled at them. Next, Elissa screeched like the infected. She began to charge at them. They aimed the tank towards her. "Across the line, you'll be dead." One of the terrorists seethes. "This is worst than 9/11." Carlos says. "You were never alive then." Macey replies. "I heard about it in my dreadful lifetime." Carlos explains. "Well, I learned about it more than you do." Macey says. Boron stands up with a angry look on his face. "Sounds like you want to kill," he says. "Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh!" I hear the screeches of the infected right behind us. "We need to get out of here!" I yelled out. I turned back even though I didn't want to face the death and pain. The infected charging at us. Boron takes his knife out of his pocket. Soon, Harper and Carlos took out their knives. Macey and I took out our guns. Elissa took out a knife. The mob seemed way smaller than last time. "Okay, make every slash and shot count." I said. "Don't get infected on this round." "The infected, take all of them out!" One of the terrorists survivors yell out. I can hear the movement of the tanks aiming towards the zombies. We charged at the infected. Another round of zombies has begun. Macey shot every zombie in the head or the chest. They hit the ground. I guess she take making a shot count very seriously. Carlos was being a chicken and ran off to one of the abandon skyscrapers to get away from the mob. "What a idiot?" Macey says shooting the zombies. "Well, if he gets infected, it's not our fault." Harper was getting scared of being infected, so she sliced every zombie that came near her. "Another day, not being infected." She says while stabbing a zombie in the head. I shoot the zombies where it hurts. If it doesn't work, I bash them with a knife. What do you say a girl can't take out zombies? A myth. Elissa was getting more like agressive every minute. She screaming and bashing the zombies with her fist. She's infected as well and she's going against her side. Macey brushes the sweat off her forehead. The zombie screeches were faint in the distance. She looked around. "Where's Boron?" She asks. I turned around and I saw him heading towards the border terrorists. "He's heading towards the terrorists borders!" I pointed to him where he was at. Macey turned to him. "Boron, bash them out!" She yells out. "Get lost, freak!" One of the terrorists yelled at Boron. Boron smiled. He took out a gun that he held in his pocket. He aimed it at the terrorists on top of the tank in the middle. His eyes were focused on the gas tank. "If you shoot, say goodbye to you life!" A terrorist snickers. "You are killing people that are survivors." Boron says. "You are selfish morons. Now, sweet dreams." Boron moved his gun and fired at the gas tank that was beside the tank. Boom! A explosion of flames burst from the tank. Soon, the one to the left roared into the flames. Boron laughs as the tanks burst in explosion of flames from the fire. "Gas ignites." He laughs. "Have fun burning alive!" He then look towards me. I gave him the stare that he was a pyscho. Boron looks ahead. More zombies and the infected were coming. "Guys get pass the flaming border now, when the flames go down, we are screwed." Boron says. "Are you crazy?" Harper looks at him. "We will burn alive." "No, it's called keeping your surviving!" Boron replies. Boron jumps pass through the flaming tanks. "I won't have to worry about this hell again." Harper sighs and jogs pass through the tanks. "Ow, it's hot!" She squeals. "Suck it." Boron said to her. I turned around. "Macey, Elissa!" I tapped upon Elissa's shoulder. "Follow Boron and Harper. We have no choice than just get killed here." "Okay then, let's sprint through." Macey lowers her gun and begans running to the flames. I hold onto Elissa hands and we started running. Once we were between the flames, it was very hot. My vision can only see flaming bright orange colors. I cough as a went through the flames. I passed through, I felt cold air and my vision shows more of the road with few houses and forests. Elissa and I catched up to Macey, Harper, and Boron. Boron stopped to look at us. "Where's Carlos?" He asks. "He was being a chicken and he went to one of the abandon skyscrapers in the city. We can leave without him, it's his fault for making that decision." Macey replies. By the time we entered the wooden borders of North Dakota, a rain picked and soaked the ground. Thunder and lightning roared the sky. We turned off road to walk to a dirt driveway. There was a barn and a house. Ash Lo beat us there. "How did you get here so fast?" I asked. "I sneaked around those terrorists before I saw Boron blew them up." Ash replies. "Now that's how you become a ninja." Boron commented. "The house is about to cave in, we have to rest into the barn tonight." Ash says. Elissa slide open the large wooden log barricading the door. Next, she use her strength to open the barn doors wisely. We walked and we heard Harper squealing. We saw a farmer man hanging himself from the beams. Elissa jumped and tugged at the hunged farmer. The rope snaps and the body falls to the ground. "What is that?" Harper asks. "A farmer." Elissa replies with a raspy voice while expecting the farmers body. "He committed suicide because he didn't want to be infected. I can see bites on his arms and through his coat. I'll get rid of this body." Elissa picks it up and throws it outside. She slams the barn doors closed. It was dark and creepy. "We have no food and supplies left due to the terrorists burning them all." I sighed. "What are we going to do?" "Barging into houses and stores and rob some crap. There's also malls here." Macey suggests. "What quarantine we are near?" Ash asks. "I don't have the damn map, so I don't know." Macey replies. "We are probably not that far from Section B quarantine. We are heading towards the North Dokata quarantines. If we see one in the distance, get out the sight." I said. "What about Carlos?" Harper asks. "That chicken, he's the one who ran away from the mob from fighting back. He's probably getting bit by much of the mob inside one the skyscrapers in the South Dokata." Macey answers. "I never give a damn about him." "Well, he's part of the group." Boron says. "We must protect every member as we could." "Bravery is what it takes to be in the group. He made a action that was going to haunt him for the rest of his life, not my tarnation problem." Macey says. Then she rolled her eyes. "It's storming out there. I guess we have to wait until it stops and it's dry a bit." The corner, we moved the stack of hay bale into a hay bed. We lay down next to each other. Elissa sighs. "I can't sleep, I'll stay up to guard." She gets up. "Whatever you prefer, it's your choice." I replied trying to relax upon the hay bale. The rain and the thunder hit the barn ceiling. It was not distracting me and it's tempting me to fall asleep. Chapter VIII I woke up to find a pony tail girl that looked infected. Pale dry bloody cracked skinned and bright color green eyes standing above me. I screamed. The girl stand back. "Elissa is that you?" I asked. Boron, Macey, Ash, and Harper wake up to find the girl beside me. Boron stands up and draws at a gun towards the girl standing above me. She stared at her blanklessly and unemotionally. "Don't shoot her!" I said. "It's Elissa, she looks like she's controlling it. Have fun is being infected, hun?" She then moved her bright eyes down on to me unemotionally. "I guess that's a no." I stand up awake. "Guys what happens when you're infected, not like the symptoms?" I asked. "The effectiveness of the environment around them?" Boron asks. "Yeah." I replied. "They're immune to the climates temperatures. You gotta be careful because when infected is nearby, the infected groups come along. We should probably start running now because Elissa is a zombie." Boron replies. "I think we should." Harper says starting to back up. "Why should we just kill Elissa?" I gave Harper a death glare. "Harper, she's still in control of herself. The non immune ones aren't. If you shoot her, you'll going to regret it." I said. "Don't give me that attitude, Owinna." Harper snaps. "Smurf, be quiet!" Macey says. Harper groans and rolled eyes. "Just stop before Elissa starts acting up." Boron says. I turned away against them and head towards the barn door. I opened it. Wet muddy soil is all around me. I turned to walk to the first story house. I open the door. I've heard a small groan. I stopped moving and looked around. "Get the money and get out." I whisper to myself. I tip toed and check every room in the house. It looks like it's about to collapse. "Darn it, no cash." I said silently. I began to turn around. As I looked through the window, the team was coming over to the house looking for me. "Owinna!" Ash shouts out. Uh oh. Then I heard a screeched of a infected person within inside the home. I turned around and saw something really terrifying the infected person. I screamed and ran out of the house. I ran to the group. I took out the gun and aimed it at the front door. As soon the zombie comes out, bang! Zombie was shot in the heart and now it's dead. "What is that?" Boron asks. "That's way more terrifying than the average infected." The team walked closer to the dead zombie. I kneeled to examine The zombie looked like a teenage boy. Some parts of his body were like being eaten away. There was also bloody dry cracks on him. The eyes were dark and rotten and smells like decomposition. "The body must've been dead then came back alive or person's soul who owns the body isn't no longer in control or going to another human being." Ash suggests while also examining the body. "It seems this poor boy got alot of bites." I look down. Damn, this boy has like ten bites that I can see on the arms. Then I saw something, that the boys features looked familiar. Next, a name popped into my mind. "It's Carlos!" I declared. "He got bit so many times in the sky scraper! He must turned over night. We need to get out of the country asap." I began to panic. "Owinna, easy." Elissa says in a very raspy voice. "We will get out of here soon." "We don't have a car nor food just money." I said. Ash Lo rolled his eyes. "Then we will rob some." He says. We left the barn and the house in the afternoon. The sun was beating down on my body making me sweat. We catched to a truck beside of the road. We ran to it. "It looks nice and clean, how?" Ash says. "Maybe somebody owns it?" I suggested. Bang! We heard a shot gun from the distance. I pushed Elissa out of the way. "Ow!" Boron says in pain. I looked he got shot right onto his left shoulder. "Get away from my truck!" A man barked. "Or else, I'll kill you!" Elissa and I moved away from the truck. A man that looked like a survivor hunter standing there with his shotgun in hand. "Get away from the infected girl!" The man pulls out his shotgun and aims towards Elissa. "Don't!" I begged. "She's partially immune! She's stil
