Nothing hurts more than sitting alone on a night meant to be relaxing and a good time with someone special.
Tears flowing down her cheeck, her mind shuffles through millions of images. 20 years. Thousands of days. Majority of these days were happy and some extremely funny, but the way life goes, there had been some sad days, hard, fighting days and then days like today - heartbreaking.
And why? Dinner was cancelled.
Years of trying times when their relationship ended a couple of times due to other women and so called religious guilt, made her to nip and tuck at every turn of their growing relation. Commitment came. A dream came true. At last she can wear her special someone's ring. A ring is round, neverending circle. For her, the true meaning of commitment, infinite.
A dream shatters quickly was a lesson she will always remember.
A few months after the promise, the truth broke through and smashed into her life. The big news dinner was planned. His words were flying like spears just after she handed him an envelope with a big red heart. There was someone else. Again. Someone he can talk to, open up to. There was a kiss, and sex. All blatantly revealed at the dinner table. And dinner was cancelled.
Everything stopped. She isnt even sure if she is still breathing. Heartache was never this physical before. Intense pain flushed over her, and spastic cramps let her fall to the floor. Dont open the envelope. Dont open the envelope is the only thing running through her mind and rushing from her lips before everything went dark around her.
And here she sits. Alone. In pain. Her world, her dreams crushed. Alone to face her biggest heartache. Her hand slowly reached for the opened envelope on the drawer next to the hospital bed, supporting her hurting belly.  She slowly pulls out the card as she breaks down in tears, realising that she is alone, although he knew.
"I am pregnant" sound softly over her lips as she reads the card in the dimmed light of the hospital room. Alone. In everything. Alone.
