Today is our anniversary, a marriage of 40 years. 
Memories bring much happiness with a little bit of tears. 

Some were tears of joy for overwhelming gifts 
Fulfilling our desires that certainly brought us lifts. 

Rising far above the few sad times we have had, 
Forty years together have surely made us glad. 

We’re looking toward the future; the limit is the sky! 
As each and every day we pile memories up high.
