#342 A LONELY MAN Read Count : 104

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
A gentle old man sits
Rocking in his chair.
Just sitting and rocking
And going nowhere.
He remembers the day
He could run out and play,
And now he just sits there
Passing the time away.

Along came a boy walking
Skipping up the street,
And brought the man his
New puppy for him to greet.
Licks and wiggles and giggles
Fill the man's face with delight.
Love a boy and his puppy have
Brightened up the man’s night.
