I stop and I pick it up, I'm done but I haven't had enough. Everytime I go to write, it's a lil something about some dude, that went and put me through what you put me through so I make him feel like he put me through what you put me through cause y'all put me through the same game that is clearly over used. I want to settle down but I end up at the circus so I'm bound to see a clown, but I want to laugh. We fight because the balloon popped, but I invested so I want him to give it another try. He's yelling that he had to do this all before, so he ran to close the door, the game is closed down but he comes back for more because he's addicted. Addicted to the game. Addicted to the thought because he knows it'll happen again, he just doesn't want to invest this time, he doesn't want to collect. He wants to entertain a crowd because just one isn't quite enough for his mind set. So I ask him, "why keep coming back if the crowd is filled with one person, the same person everytime?" He told me that the attention is still good, it keeps him from having to decide. "Decide what?" I said. You know he couldn't answer that, he didn't want to admit that it felt good to see her there, to see her there, because she's always coming back. Rain or shine, she always showed up, didn't leave til it was over. She walked up one day and asked him for a little closure. "Why does it end so quickly? Why do you have to pack up so fast? Why is that you look mad when you see me, as if you wanted me to just walk right passed?" "The attention is always good" he says, "but I didnt want it from you, because you're showing me all the things that I'm not used to. Everytime I mess up my act you still return the next day, why do you always come back knowing I hold nothing but gray days? I just wanted to put on a show, I just wanted a group of fans, and everyday it's always just you sitting in the stands. I cussed you out one day because you clapped and smiled after every act and not one of them was good, it makes no sense. Why are you still around, why do you keep coming back?" I told him, "I seen you've been confused, sometimes a little nervous, but maybe if you seen the same face you might just get over it. I was here for your support, I'm here because I don't just give up, you fall down but I'm here to pick you right back up. I'm waiting for this act to be over, we can get a bite to eat, talk about life, we don't have to be sober. I just want to see you comfortable, because I know you can really shine. You're just not used to seeing someone come back each and every time, instead of leaving you behind. This is different for you so now you don't know how to act. Maybe that's what you needed, to be shaken up and to be given that - love and support you can't remember if you've ever felt. Everything before was temporary and hopeless, so I showed you something different something new, everybody needs that, for real." He stood quiet for a moment. He told me to leave and to never come back, he told me I was the distraction, I was the reason he was always messing up his act. So I finally walked away, the next day he's looking around and there's no sign of me, not a trace. He wasn't bothered, he did his thing. Went home, woke up to start the next day the same way all over again. He doesn't see me anywhere, days keep passing and he starts to feel a little empty. A little mad at himself this time. He realized he might of messed up, he really blew it this time.. He walked around the park lost in thought, he found me watching someone else and he fell apart. He walked up mad as hell, asking what I was doing over here for? I looked at him and smiled, I quietly said. "Sometimes, when you don't realize what you have, you lose a little something. That something you lost, gains a little something. The same love and support that was given to you is now being given to someone else, because that someone else actually wanted it and treats it really well. I didn't give up on you, I just stopped looking for you. I'm always hoping you're doing well and that you have found the crowd you were looking for. He craved seeing my face everyday, you just expected it. Sometimes you have to give to get, I gave and you didn't want it. So I found someone that did." - B.
