#216 THE TOAST Read Count : 91

Please have dinner with me I say while in your spell.
I have a surprise for you of which I will not tell.

You sure look beautiful in your pretty-new-dress.
I’m not going to tell yet, you’ll just have to guess.

Dinner was great, so now would you like to dance?
Holding you in my arms, this night is full of romance.

I think it’s time now I say to give ourselves a toast.
The bottom of the glass has what I hope you’ll want most.

Looking into your eyes and seeing the smile on your face,
I hope you’ll say “Yes” as I try to say with grace,

“Will you marry me because I love you so?”
I can’t wait for your answer, but by your fact I know.

“Oh, Yes! Yes! I will,” I so gladly hear you say.
For life with you will be a dream in every kind of way.

As arms swing around each other and promises are given,
We know our hopes and dreams we will soon be living.
