Remembering when I was young
The valuable lessons I learned
All that I was taught
I was raised right
My parents made sure
I knew right from wrong
Led by there guidance
Developed structure
My life was off to a good start
Everything was good
Knew If I wanted
I could be successful
Take my life In direction that I wanted
Just had to work hard
Stay on track
Time went on
As I grew older
Things began to change
My life turned
Went in a different direction
Soon vered off track
I still knew what was right
But I chose to do it wrong
I was having fun
I had forgot the lessons I had learned
as a kid
Now I was going in the wrong direction
Living on the wrong side of right
That is what I chose
A choice I made
 But now that I'm older 
I just want what is right
What's best for my life 
I'm just finding it hard 
Trying to remember lessons 
I learned as a kid
Some days I don't even want to try
