#190 GADGETS Read Count : 99

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Spatulas, tongs, knives and such are gathered in a box.
So many so it seems that the box is filled with rocks.

Sticking out of every drawer, laying around the counter top.
I keep collecting more and more and just can’t seem to stop.

A melon baller I had to have, I can’t seem now to find,
And without my parer, I can’t get this orange from its rind.

Whichever gadget I’m looking for, it always seems to be lost,
And I think about the many dollars all this stuff has cost.

Better use of these gadgets it seems that I would get
If I didn’t have to look through so many that I begin to fret.

But choosing this and that one or whichever I should keep
Just brings me joy over things I find lost down in the deep.
