#192 THE MAP Read Count : 110

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
We’re going to take a trip,
getting a lot of help from a map.
But my husband says it’s only
into his mind that he must tap.

A thunderstorm is upon us
and we can’t see which way we are going.
Is that a car just ahead of us
that seems not to be slowing?

I think the road is coming
up on which we have to turn.99
This road is in our memory
and not from the map we soon learn.

Wandering here and there
	and seeming everywhere
We find ourselves lost
	and not getting there.

For this trip we thought
	we had all planned;
If we don’t find our way soon,
will just have to be canned.
