#186 WATER OVER THE FALLS Read Count : 98

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Rumbling down rocks like a slide
The water of the falls will gently glide.
It’s not falling heavily to the ground
But leaning on each rock the whole way down.

Not hitting hard as was the raindrop,
But gently easing down not able to stop
While leading right into a pool to stray
On down the stream and into the bay.

Where it has gone I shall never know
For it’s mingled and mixed and does not show.
Could it be giving a drink or holding up a boat,
Or a bottle may be floating with inside a note.

Maybe it’s rushing to shore in a great wave,
Or being evaporated into the air only to save,
As out from a rain cloud again it will burst
On top of the mountain I find the answer for which I thirst.

The answer is given in raindrops on top of the falls
As water flows over hearing the rocks calls.
A journey has begun again; what shall it find?
A new life of excitement as seen in my mind.
