#189 WE HAD A FIRE Read Count : 97

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
We had a house fire and the firemen were so brave.
Up the ladders they went so that my life they could save.

My life was changed, as my house came tumbling down.
There was not much left in the rubble to be found.

I’ve only memories now to keep close in my heart,
As now into the future I must look to a new start.

As I’m hugged by others, I thank God that I was saved.
To a chapter of my life now a good bye must be waved.

As I express gratitude to the firemen for their time given,
I’m thinking about a new future I will be living.

I will forever be grateful for my life I hold dear.
Hoping as time passes that my memories will replace the fear.
