#188 AUTUMN LEAVES Read Count : 68

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
The air is so quiet and still like snow
Autumn leaves are falling everywhere.
Then comes slowly a gentle breeze,
Leaves begin fall without a single care.

An eddy I see with its twists and turns
Spiraling away causing leaves to flee,
With colors so bright, just dazzling
Sun glimmers on them for all to see.

Piling higher and higher and higher,
I kick up my feet as I romp right through.
Raking and raking and picking them up
Is not a chore I’m anxious yet to do.

Soon the trees from their leaves are left bare,
And mysteries from their life that has passed
Are now open for all of us to see
As snow and winter cold comes in at last.
