In Silence

Bloodied, battered eyes fall closed for the last time.
Hanging where he'd been left to die.
Surrounded by abundant beauty,
Venom-fueled they stole his life.

Innocent pure soul,
Aching to be loved,
Beats for the last time.
Clinging, tied to that abandoned fence line.

A story of hate, malice and crime,
Taken away a single life,
In sorrow would unite.
A raging fire, to fight.

In solitude, they stood,
Earthly angels forming a love line.
Wings of pristine white,
Tears falling as by memory they abide.

This stolen life,
That did suffer in silence...
