Aurora Borealis Read Count : 96

You're ultraviolet
and ultraviolent
Your radiance jettisons through the cosmos
and erupts upon impact
with my frozen surface
but the ribbons and rainbows ripple
across the atmosphere
like a flowing cosmic river

I'm not sure if it's the death of seasons
or your radioactive exuberance
that steals the breath from my lungs
But there's a spark
like a solar flare
that cauterizes all the wounds
left by the moon
Wrap me in your celestial curtains
like gauze to my scars
and carry me away
to the morningstar
