but darling
If space is what you’re looking for 
I can be your galaxy

Infinity resides in me
You can hide in me
A swirling cyclone of everything 
and nothing 
Full of immense pressure
Light and heat
Pressing against my integrity

Stay in my orbit
Be my shield 
against the floating debris
Raise the tides of the seas
Illuminate the night

A dead light at my core
keeps me alive
By the time it reaches you 
you’re already gone
