Will I ever feel love or joy again?
Will this mournful heart every mend?
Will the skies seem wide and blue?
Though I'll never stop thinking of you?
I will always feel you by my side
Staying single or becoming a new bride.
Our life together brought times that were best,
I remember as I bid you adieu
—–peace and rest.
The aroma of lilies and flowers abound,
As slowly you are lowered into the ground.
In a far better place you soon will be
Once again sharing our love in eternity.
