#290 A SURPRISE Read Count : 25

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
A wink begins to come into his eyes.
I see a devilish look begin to arise.
What is that thing you’re hiding behind your back?
Oh Mom! Don’t you worry about that.
But, son I have to see what you’ve got.
Looking at your face tells me I might not like it a lot.
Mom! You’ve gone and spoiled my surprise.
As arms swing ‘round, handfuls of flowers arise.
A big smile, kiss, and hug are added too;
I feel his love warming me all the way through.
