Lying on my back, Soft green grass for a bed. Honeysuckle in my mouth, Arms behind my head. Wondering where the stars have gone, Staring into a bright blue sky, should I go out into the day? I’m sure there are many reasons why. Others are busy in all that they do. Birds are chirping and flying around, And children are all running by. Should I stay or get up off the ground? I think I’ll stay and rest awhile. This day I deserve a break, As I watch a ladybug rising On a leaf that is about to quake.
