for the single reason that 
your strange fragrance 
frequent my soft heart 
filling the void of my day 
and night with a few and 
far between delight 
sometimes with a 
sad gladness and 
at times with a
glad sadness 
it cannot be at rest 
although it's delicate 
and untormented 
by dejected reflections 
it frantically loves 
for the lone reason that 
it must and for all that 
remains more condensed 
and more and more contented
