#240 ON A DREAM Read Count : 130

I’m sliding down a rainbow, looking for the pot of gold.
Floating on a cloud I’m looking down upon the earth.
I’m running through the corn fields high above the stalks,
Or standing in a flower garden which has suddenly given birth.
Snow is gently falling and from an angel I’ve been kissed.
I’m wishing on a star that has fallen to my hand.
Cradled high in treetops, I’m with the birds and sing.
Spreading my arms wide, I’m encompassing all the land.

I stand atop a mountain peak nearly up to heaven.
A butterfly has carried me from flower unto flower.
I’m sniffing at the winds, as I fly high up in the sky.
And time has not second, minute, nor hour.
I’m ridging on a Pegasus off to worlds unknown;
And whee! off I go sitting on a shooting star.
There’s just no end to all the dreams that I have had
Lifting spirits, taking me both near and far.
