#251 THAT BABY OF MINE Read Count : 188

You could swim the English Channel.
Mt. Everest you could climb,
But not get nearly as much pleasure
As I get from that baby of mine.

God has performed many miracles;
But none closer to my heart,
Than the tiny little baby
Who inside me got her start.

And as she came to life,
All soft and perfect to touch,
My heart was about to burst.
She meant just that much.

Soon she is growing up, and
I’m her idol and her star.
My heart is filled with gratitude
For being where we are.

But time goes by so quickly,
And on her own she goes.
One day she comes back to me,
And in her arms she shows

The most perfect blessing
That she has ever seen
Brings back the joys I had with her
As a grandma, I feel like a queen.
