Testing We arrived at the gate in the mid-afternoon. Once we punched in the code to get in-it was in the letter, along with the address-we slowly walked in, gazing at the sights. I front of us was a pure white marble path, and that alone showed a high standard of work to keep it clean. Then, at the ends of what the paths led to, was a never-ending row of tall, brick buildings, not quite big enough to be two-story, but probably had high ceiling inside. I noticed that in some gaps in between only a few of the buildings, the glassy path branched off. At the end though, was clearly the main building. It had polished bricks for wall, a flat, cement ceiling, and it was littered with clean, washed windows. Unlike all the others, this was the only two-story building in sight. Wow, this place is fancy, I thought to myself. Mia seemed to agree, "Wow, I think I already made up my mind." "As long as the food is good," I joked. "The food alone would of swayed my mind." I chuckled, knowing that was true. I checked my watch to see how long we had to hang around. "Mia! We got to go! It starts in 10 minutes, and we don't even know where it is!" Oh gosh, we can't be late before the school year even starts! I broke into a run to climb the final steps into the gigantic building. After we finally arrived with only a few minutes to spare, it turns out we weren't the last ones to arrive. After waitimg for two minutes after it was supposed to start, I finally came to that they would start late, waiting for everyone to attend. Well, what do we do if they don't come? Do we just wait here? Meanwhile, Mia and I chatted about our summers qnd what we did. "So, how was Alaska?" I asked. After finding out she was going to go there in 8th grade, I have been waiting to see how it was. "It was the coldest thing ever!" Mia exclaimed. "I don't know how-" Mia was quickly overtaken by the silence that spread through the room like a wildfire. Soon after, the door opened and a person that was obviously the teacher walked in. He had a tall and sleek body shape while having sharpe features. He had dark brown, more like of an ash colored hair, a determined look in his brown eyes, and high cheekbones. What surprised me was that thin whiskers on the tip of hos his nose and pointed, fluffy ears that escaped from his head. Is this some sort of prank they do to the freshman? Before I could comment though, he began to speak, his voice loud and clear, "Welcome to Robinwood Prep, the school for growing leaders. Our project in this school is to grow and nourish new and improved leaders for future society. If your wondering who that is, look in a mirror and check, because it's you. "You are all here for a reason today, as it was stated in the letter the staff sent you. For whatever reason you're here: art, academics, sports, or for other reasons, that is a part of you. And to find out more about you, we have issued a test for you all." Moans went through the classroom. I even heard the dramatic cry of Mia, "Why world... Why!" As soon as everyone settled down, the teacher continued, "But this is a test on personality, not academic scores," sigh of relief swept through the room now. "So this shouldn't be too taxing on you. And remember, there is no right or wrong answer, but this is a testing environment, so remain quite after you have finished the test, good luck." And with that, he handed out the tests. I soon realized how thorough these tests were. 11) How much do you value loyaltya? Very much 13) Would you describe yourself solitary? (Few/no friends, don't depend on others much)? Maybe, it depends on the situation. 19) Would you rather play outside or relax indoors? Indoors 22) When with friends, do you rely on each other for specific jobs? Yes 25) Do you ever dreamed of flying? No As I finished the test, I looked around, confused. Where am I supposed to put my test? Did he say that amd I missed it? As I looked around, I also noticed other people were finishing. So did the teacher, "As you finish up, leave your tests where you are, and find the room across the hall and to the right, for that holds our sophomores to help you and show you around. Before you ask, this is our second year of teaching, and we want to give every student the full four years of high school here. That's why this room is full of only freshmen. "Anyways, they will give you a map of the campus and help show you around the school. Afterwards, come back and we'll shortly give you your test scores." When we were sure he was finished speaking, Mia, who zoomed through her tests, and I quietly rose from our chairs and quickly left the room.
