The GOP is slowly but surely self imploding because of their radical right realignment. First it was neo-con, next was neo-nazi, now it's neo-pedophile. They are making it impossible for anyone in the center or even center right to hang with them. When numerous Republican leaders and voters in Alabama announce they would vote for Roy Moore, even if he was proven to be a pedophile over a Democrat, there is a crisis in our two party system. A third political party with a centrist focus seems to me a viable solution. It would draw the non-radical voters from both parties and possibly become the single dominant party within a very short time. Then the radical right and left fringes of the existing parties would lose their leverage to force extreme candidates and policies on us. At the very least, a third centrist party could draw enough voters to force a governing coalition between two of the three parties that would buffer us from the partisan craziness  we are suffering now.
