#103 BABY BIRDS Read Count : 92

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
There’s a bird’s nest out front in my Holly tree.
It’s right at eye level for me to look in and see.
A Mocking Bird looks lovingly over each little twin.
I’m surprised she lets me come so close to look in.
I see a pile of fluff with two mouths open so wide,
Waiting for their Mom to put their favorite food inside.
Mother bird flits and flutters all around the yard,
While gathering food and still being on guard.
Soon growing up, spreading out their wings to fly,
I’ll see them all over but never again eye to eye.
Thankfully I’ve been standing here as I’ve gazed.
To see such wonders in life of which I’m so amazed.
