#228 AUTOGRAPH PLEASE Read Count : 85

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Standing here being bumped in the middle of a crowd,
Hoping you'll hear me shouting and yelling out loud.
I'm waving a book I treasure way high in the air.
Such excitement I am thinking, I can hardly bare.
Please give me your autograph; I know I'm a hound,
But if you oblige, I'll feel I'm floating off the ground.
For you are my idol and as I stand out here and scream,
I begin to shake and tears run down my face in a stream.
A fainting spell is coming on any minute now, I fear,
As I'm looking up and seeing you soon coming near.
I must be quite a sight as you hand be back my book,
As I'm washed in camera light and everyone begins to look.
Through tears, I thank you, and even though there was no touch;
This page in my autograph book will always mean so much.
