#227 THE GLOW BURNS OUT Read Count : 42

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
The stars never shined so bright.
The moon was never so fascinating;
The sun is aglow with warm light
All on the new guy I have been dating.

Food never tasted so good,
Smiles were never so wide,
As down the street arm in arm,
My new guy and I slowly glide.

I never felt so pretty as
He glances in my direction.
Everything in the world now
Seems to be at perfection.

As the ocean waves rush in,
My heart pounds with a beat
Nearly taking my breath away
Almost knocking me off my feet.

Then the moon ceases to glow,
The stars quickly lose their shine,
As I find it’s just “puppy love”
And he isn’t really even mine.
