I have the advantage of not feeling as much anger at our current president since I don't watch the news as often as others do. I have a certain amount of removal from the sheer amount of news about him.

He does not make it so much about sticking to the issues, seems to be more about visually shaming anyone who speaks against him. He insults their intellect, more when they're male. It would make him look smarter and like he "smoked them" in a debate if he were to do his homework on them and why they're speaking against him. On the other side, it's best to not allow one's anger to take one over, unless it's that fed up kind of anger that actually makes one use the facts against him.

There's plenty to be angry about: healthcare, immigration policy, bigotry (sexism, homophobia, transphobia, racism). I think he needs to take a look at insurance from the perspective of the consumer rather than as a shareholder, and at what's worked and not worked about past healthcare plans. Brass tacks are that it'll reflect on him as a president. We are all at least politically judged by the image of our president by other countries, and we don't like looking bad to them, particularly the ones that are allied with us.

If he makes us look bad to Syria, with the influx of immigrants (good and bad) , a portion of our internationally-gotten oil could be removed as a resource. Those against fracking in the U.S. won't like that because it means we will have to localize it in order to have a resource. I think if they've got their legitimate papers they can be here. It's not as though there's a moral screening process for the major influx of immigrants coming in for different reasons.

As to his bigotry, or seeming negative attitude towards certain groups of people, he can be joking about them, and that's fine if it's said as good-humored ribbing. It makes him look bad to us if it's meant cruelly or if he's just blatantly acting rude. He could be a great wit if he plays that right. It's certainly what keeps the Republicans laughing about what he says. He seems to me to be a comedian's wet dream in terms of material. In any case, whether we like him or not, not one of us wants the state of emergency that would ensue from his being assassinated.
