#221 BAGGAGE Read Count : 102

Category : Poems

Baggage, baggage, baggage,
excess some is thought,
But when you’re far from home,
you depend on what you’ve brought.

Sometimes you can travel light with
just a change of underwear.
Other times you seem to bring half the house
for a long time you’ll be there.

Packing a large suitcase,
on wheels you tug it along.
Or if it’s just a backpack,
you may feel like singing a song.

For no matter how much stuff you bring,
something you will miss
That you simply cannot do without
and didn’t think to have it on the list.
