When I was a kid my family loved going to the zoo. So every weekend we'd all grab our cameras, water bottles and packed lunches and head out for a zoo near our neighbourhood called "Zoo". I didn't like the zoo. I hate animals. They're dumb as nails and you never know what's going through their heads since they're too stupid to talk. Luckily, something happened once after which my family never went to the zoo ever again. This was the day that I especially didn't want to go. I begged and begged my dad not to take me but he simply said that we were going as a family so it was important for me to be there. So we all took off. Me, my dad, mum and my two little sisters. Everyone happy. Everyone excited. Except me. So after a fifteen minute ride we got to the zoo and started walking around taking pictures and ignoring our guide. Atleast, I was. Suddenly and announcement came on making us all jump. A panicked voice explained that a lion has escaped his cage and that we should all run for safety. My family and I were about to when my mum realized that one of my sisters was missing. My dad told her that Lizzie had gone to the bathroom and that she said that she'll meet up with us back at the lion section of the zoo. My mum screamed at my dad for letting a twelve year old girl wander around on her own in the zoo. My dad looked more scared now than before. My other sister started to cry. It was up to me to save Lizzie. But I liked me better. So I started running back towards the main gate with all the speed my skinny little legs could muster. My parents yelled at me to come back at once but I ignored them. My mother couldn't fight a lion, my dad couldn't even fight my mother so how were they supposed to protect me? So I ran back around the zoo, nearing the gate. Around me chaos and panic had erupted. Mothers screamed for their children, children screamed for their mothers, men screamed like their mothers. As was about to reach the gate I was intercepted by a large figure. It was the most frightening thing I have ever seen. Snarling and snapping at me, a ferocious look in it's eyes. And wouldn't you know it, this terrifying creature was...my mother. " WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING YOUNG MAN?!LEAVING YOUR FAMILY BEHIND LIKE THAT?" "I-I am sorry I- " But she didn't wanna hear it. She told me that it was extremely wrong of me for leaving my family. She explained that no lion had escaped in reality and it was just a stupid teenagers idea of a prank. She told me that I can't play on the Xbox for a week and I'll have to say sorry to my whole family for 'betraying' them. But I don't regret a thing since we never went to the zoo ever again.
