Here comes Grandmom. She took the bus
From the big city, to the country and us.

We waited and longed for her to come to the door.
She always makes such a fuss and there is more.

Carrying bags are strung over her arms
With surprises inside for her little charms.

Grandmom! Grandmom! We are so happy to see you.
“My bags are heavy” she says, “See what you can do.”

I’ll take one, I’ll take one, we each yell by her side.
I wonder what’s in them we say, what kind of surprise.

Wait! I think I hear a peep, the bag is wiggling too.
Oh Grandmom, Mom yells out, “What did you do?”

It’s Easter time, and I couldn’t resist
These cute little ducklings and I insist

You just have to look too and I’m sure you’ll agree
It’s a great Easter present to the children from me.

With their charms we were taken and Mom said they could stay
As we ran off for a big box for in it they’ll play.
