#13 THE SKY Read Count : 117

There are so many things you can see in the sky
Looking in the daytime or when night draws nigh.
Sunsets and sunrises are so beautiful when seen.
Many a sky scene has been a real painter’s dream.

A rain shower is just ending, the sun comes back,
You may see a rainbow or two at a time; it’s a fact.
Reaching from horizon to horizon it really seems
The colors are fabulous and so bright as it leans.

I once saw a blimp coming down over my street,
The roar of the motor brought me outside to meet.
A Hot air balloon comes gliding, seems ever so slow,
We on the ground yell up to them saying hello.

There are always many constellations of stars.
Sometimes I think I can even see the planet Mars.
At night you may be able to see a blue moon,
Or a big full white moon that will make you swoon.

Airplanes and helicopters, all with such loud noise,
Dipping and diving far away, looking like toys.
At night I’ve seen a comet, even meteor showers,
As I’ve watched from my lawn chair for hours and hours

Lovers have been known to watch a full moon and swoon.
Blue skies with puffy clouds are beautiful at noon.
A full moon has been thought to make some go crazy,
And the blue skies of the days can make you feel lazy.

You’ll never feel lonely if you like to watch the sky,
For if you have patience, many things will come by.
Keep your eyes on the heavens and thank God above
For this beautiful earth that we have here to love.
