#8 CAN'T YOU SIT DOWN Read Count : 112

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Hopping and jumping and bouncing around.
Wade Can’t you sit your little fanny down?

Jumping beans I think you are fed.
If you don’t sit down, you’ll fall on your head.

Pills your Mom threatens and may be extreme,
But if you don’t sit down, I’m going to scream.

A teacher is what I am trying to be,
So please sit yourself down and listen to me.

A note is going home to your Mother and Dad.
It’s about all of this I can stand to have.

Oh, Mom and Dad, “What shall I do?”
“I can’t get him to sit still for me, can you?”

No karate, no baseball, your games are through
Until you stop making your classroom seem like a zoo.

“Mom, Dad, there is so much I want to do,
But I’ll keep trying to sit still just for you.
