He hides in the shadows
Always whispering
Waiting for darkness 
They lurk in the periphery of my vision
When I look he's never there
My brain says it's just imaginary 
My heart knows the truth 
He's hiding 
Whispering
Waiting for darkness 
Soon he will come for me 
I'll try to fight but is it enough 
He taunts me with his tongue 
He is the demon in the shadows
