Through childhood I was raised
By a Christian family;
One day everything had changed,
My and my sister Emily;
Set out for something long ranged.
We discovered Gothic art;
Many with vampiric people with
Hearts torn apart,
The artwork themselves were
Beautiful,
To see the beauty in everything
Makes us smart.
I was disowned and removed from
Church when mother turned me in;
I wasn't allowed to go back for some
Dumb ungrateful sin.
Is it really such a sin;
To find the beauty within the dark?
You know people aren't always
Evil;
It's a judgmental remark.
