Rounding in numbers is very simple! Do not get worried if you have it for homework, schoolwork, etc.

I am here to help you with your rounding! Let's start!

A Small Explanatiom:
Rounding is just were you round a number up our down. Rounding means do you make it bigger? Or smaller? 

A Little Rhyme To Remember 
“ R O U N D I N G  ”

I don't want to confuse you,
I don't want you to forget,
I have to go up or lose you,
The higher or lower I get.

What Rounding Is and How To Use It:

You would round up if the unit, ten, etc. is: 5+

You would round down if the unit, ten, etc. is: 5-

~So if the number is under five, then the number rounds downwards.
~If the number is over five then you round it upwards.

Still don't understand? Here's a few examples! 

Eg1.) 77
(This would round up, as the unit is above 5)
Answer=80

Eg2.) 32
(This would round down, as the unit is below 5)
Answer= 30

Sometimes you're not ASKED to round units though! Sometimes you are asked to actually round thousands, millions, hundreds, etc!

It will work the same way though, just higher numbers!

Here's what I mean:

Round to the nearest hundred
A) 170
Answer: 200

Round to the nearest thousand:
B)  2300
Answer: 2000

Round to the nearest 10:
C)  8
Answer: 10
