I get to lucy's  diner and mom's  waiting at a booth window seat."hello mom" i kiss her right cheek"Hmph" terra! you know better that to keep  your mother waiting!!" yes mom!...im sorry!"so ,how have you been terra?" she asks." im fine" she looks at me from head to toe." stand up!" let  me take a look at you!"i stand ""MOM" your embarrassing  meeeeee!" i tell her. " ok sorry dear"she apologize."you look well dear! i love the new color of your hair!" thanks mom I'd  just got it done ,before i came here." WAITER" yes madame!" 2 water spritzers please  and 2 small cesar salads"she orders for us."yes madame"the waiter says. "so....terra! you gonna tell me.?"tell you what mom?" she  gives me the MOTHER CAN'T  BE FOOLED LOOK!." ........
um.......".YES!!  MOTHER!!  MOTHER !!MOTHER!!
I MET THIS FIIINNNEE  YOUNG GENTLEMAN!!  OH  MY GOSH!! MOTHER!!  HE'S    HANDSOME !  HE'S   TALL....AND HE'S   KIND TO ME!...AND HE'S   COURTEOUS! AND HE'S   ROMANTIC ! ...i go  on...and  on....and on...about angelo! my mothers sitting shockingly....taking it all in.she lets me tell her all we ever did together , me and him.we both eat and finish  our salads and im still.......talking to her about angelo.all mother says is.....mmmhmm!
"well mother...what do you think?" i ask happly.
mother wipes her mouth with her knapkin,pushes away from the table........grabs her purse and  stands for to leave......and says......
"ME AND YOUR FATHER WILL MEET WITH HIM SATURDAY NOON!"  she turns up her nose....and walks to her car and drives off. i sit there for a minute wondering.....what i said wrong. but...no matter. angelo is TAKING  ME TO THE MOVIES! IM SOOOO  EXCITED! "WAITER" CHECK PLEASE!"i pay for our meals...and  i  leave for home,to wait for angelo.
