#126 COUNTRY GIRL Read Count : 140

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
I’m just a simple country girl, not wanting the city’s most;
Taking pleasure in little things, not for what others boast.
Not a day goes by that I don’t see a gift of God’s treasure,
That seems so great to me that I could never measure.
I like to stop and smell a flower and gaze the great blue sky.
I marvel at a flock of birds and wonder how a bee does fly.
The tears may flow, but I’m not really sad,
For taking in the little things has made me oh so glad!
