113 AN ELEVATOR Read Count : 97

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Stuck in an elevator I can’t open the doors.
We must be stalled between two floors.
Before I start to get in a real panic,
I hope that help is coming, like a mechanic.
I don’t know if I’d rather be alone
Maybe talking to a friend on a phone
Or with these strange young boys
Laughing and joking and making such noise.
Time here confined is going, so very slow,
And then the elevator suddenly starts to go.
Soon the doors open and, as I alight,
I say good bye to one long and scary flight.
