A few weeks ago, my friend Megan and I were messing around with a quiji board. Nothing happened that was unusual. I mean, it did move, but I bet that was just Megan messing with me. I never wanted to play with the quiji board, but Megan convinced me by saying that this is the best chance we have since it is so close to Halloween. It was around midnight when we started playing with it, and the "ghost" that we were talking to seemed very strange. It wouldn't tell us anything about them. Every time that we asked them something they kept repeating "the noisemakers" over and over again.
We both brushed it off of our shoulders, because we both probably thought that is was the other making a joke out of it. Until they said, unexpectedly "what's behind you". Megan and I turned around, and we saw nothing. Granted it was pitch black except for the gloomy candle by the board. We both looked at each other, and then a picture frame fell off of the wall. It was the only picture that had just me in it. We both had decided that niether one of us was joking, so we said goodbye, and put the board away. Megan decided that she didn't want to stay the night. So, she left me alone, in my apartment, by myself.
I was struggling to go to sleep. It was about 1:30 in the morning, and I felt like something was watching me. I called Megan to see if anything weird was happening in her house. I woke her up. She had no trouble going to sleep. I had asked her to stay on the call with me until I fell asleep. I guess calling her gave me the sudden felling of being safe, so it didn't take very long.
I woke up with a headache a few hours later. It was still dark outside, and I got up to get a glass of water. When I got into the kitchen, all of the cabinets were open, an the water was running in the sink. I figured it must have been Megan that did that before she left. I turned off the sink and closed all of the cabinets. I went against getting a glass of water, because my headache went away by now. I was heading back to my room, and I got that same feeling I had earlier, like someone was watching me. I grabbed my phone, and turned on the flashlight. I looked around my room and saw nothing.
I didn't want to go to bed, so I stayed up. The only light I had was my phone screen. I looked in the corner of my room where the closet is. The door was cracked open a little bit, and I was hearing a rustling sound coming from in there. I got up, keeping an eye on the closet, as I went to turn on my lamp. My lamp wouldn't turn on, but I really wanted a light. The lightswitch for the ceiling light is right by the closet door. I turned on my phones flashlight at the last second because my battery was running low. I ran to the lightswitch and turned on the light. The lights weren't turning on. I left my room and made sure to close the door behind me.
I went into the living room to see if the light would turn on now. It still wasn't working. I assumed that the power was out. I heard a creaking of a door opening. I prayed to god that it want that stupid closet opening. I was looking around for something to defend myself with and got a real flashlight. I heard footsteps coming from that dark hallway leading to my bedroom. I shined the light into the hallway and I didn't see anything. But my door to my room was open. I grabbed my keys and left the apartment. I went to Megan's house and luckily she heard me pounding on the door. She opened it and I came running inside. She asked me what had happened and I explained everything. I asked her to come with me later on the afternoon, and see what happened. She agreed, and she also apologized for leaving me there. I was glad to be safe from that place. We both went to bed, and later that day it was time to see what was going on. After we made it to my place, we cautiously opened the door. So far nothing seemed suspicious. The only place that we didn't check yet was my room. As we were walking we agreed that there is a very Erie feeling about this part of the apartment. My door was closed, so we opened it. Once we walked in, we saw that all of the pictures, and mirrors that we're on the walls were facing downwards on the floor. Also my closet door was all the way open, and the quiji board was open and sitting on the floor.
A few days later I moved in with Megan until I found somewhere to stay. I ended up finding a place to live, and it was a really nice house. A few days after being there, I woke up in the middle of the night to a figure standing in my closet, with it's finger up to it's mouth, telling me to be quiet.
