It was a cold night that night. The Night I shall always forget and fear. The Night they came.

March 23rd 1973 Georgia: I was only ten years old at the time my brother and sister Thomas and Sarah were a sleep in there rooms. I tried as hard as I could but just couldn't sleep as if something was watching me. our family lived in this 200 year old mansion for generations my dad once told me. to be honest I never liked it it looked like a nice house but something always smelled... off about it. anyway I woke up that night with sweet covered on my face my feet felt cold and my throat was dry so I decided to go down stairs and get a glass of water. every step i took was so loud no matter how soft I went as if the wood itself would fall under at any moment. 

It was so dark I worried I would break my neck so I brought out a flash light  and slowly made my way down the stairs. after a few minutes I made it to the fridge and got out a water bottle. when I closed the door I saw a figure that looked like a small child stare at me. stuned I said "h..hel..hello" it looked at me with dark soulless eyes and then smiled at me very creepy like and then made advances to me. it what appeared only secounds afterwords this "child" started growing and growing into a giant of a man and then screamed "AHHHHHHHH" as it changed at me I panicked and ran to my room only to find the doors being locked "HELP ME" I screamed as I frantically tried to open the door to my room but it wouldn't budge. I looked Into the conor of my eye and there it was 5 feet of me. I was in tears at this point and said "Stay back!" it laughed in a very dark evil laugh and then lunged. "David!" I woke up and there was my sister searh "Get up David were late for School". "sorry" I said before getting ready. I got on my bus thinking it was all just a bad dream but then I looked at my room window and there I saw the child smiling at me.
