#80 CHRISTMAS MORNING Read Count : 135

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
Bouncing into the room came we girls three
Then into the room came our brother for four
Oh, the surprises that surrounded the tree
Made our eyes glisten as we sat on the floor

Oh Santa! I yell, I hope you got my note
I wanted a bicycle and needed a new coat
Oh, there is a bicycle hiding behind the tree
I hope that the name tag says it's for me

As Mom and Dad watch with faces all aglow,
We're tearing into wrappings and tossing them fro
The lights of the tree are shining in our eyes
It may be snowing outside but in here it's bright skies

There are presents from brother and sisters too
And Mom and Dad, so much they did do
The angel on the tree winks down at the sight
As God's love shows in the ornaments and twinkling light

We remember Baby Jesus who was born for each of us
And died on the cross without making a fuss
On this Christmas Day we celebrate Your birth
And thank you to God for bringing you to earth
