Her hands were covered red.  As she sat there trying to save her lover.  The sounds of the police grew closer as his breath grew shorter.  Who would do such a thing to her and her lover? They were happy as could be the day before, and now someone is trying to tear them apart.  As the blood came from the place he was shot her hands couldn’t get the blood to stop.  She called for help what seems like years ago.  If they don’t get there soon her lover will die.  He grabbed her arm and said “ Just remember I will always love you.”  

As he slowly started to drift away help arrives.  He laid in the hospital bed not awake for a week. She never once left his side.  Then one day he wakes up to see her beautiful face asleep by his hospital bed.  He waits for her to wake. When she wakes from her sleep tears are streaming down her face.  She couldn’t believe that he had finally woke up. She threw her arms around him and he held her back. 

When they stopped hugging he grabbed the box he was going to give her before he got shot.  As she opened the box and saw the ring she looked up and he said, “I know I can’t get out of bed, but I’ve been dying to ask you to marry me.”  The tears were streaming down her face as she said yes.  He put the ring on her left hand and kissed her.

When he was released from the hospital they started to plan the special day.  On the day of the wedding right after they kissed the phone began to ring. His very sick mother was dying and wouldn’t live to see tomorrow. He looked  at all of  the guest and apologized because they had to go.  The couple got in the car and drove off to the hospital.

As he grabbed the hand of his dying mother her heart beat got slower and slower. She whispered “Son I’ve loved you forever, but it’s time for me to go now. So please stay with your wife and love her as much as you love me.” with that last breath she drifts off.  The tears streamed down his face as he held the hand of his dead mother. 

His wife walks up to him and said “Honey, she gone now in a better place. She was happy for us, and will always be in are hearts.”  On that day of their life so much had happened.  They were married and his mother had died but they still had each other.
