It's a beautiful day and we are out on the golf course
Hitting a ball here and there without much recourse

It may go right in which seems rather rare
More often than not it leaves you standing there

Wondering what iron now you should take
To keep it from going next into the lake.

If you ride in a car you may sing a song
As the wheels take you here and there all along

If you are really in good health and have a mind to
Walk the whole way yourself down hills and up too

The spikes stick in the ground and give you some traction
But when you are walking can slow down your action

The golf bag gets quite heavy as you lug it along
And suddenly you don't think you're so strong

As you are plugging along you think that in time
Stronger you'll get and be feeling quite fine

But however, we get around, we just try to have fun
And try not to stay too long out in that hot sun

We can be happy even if we don't make par
So we try not to get frustrated no matter how hard.
