The fish in the sea are truly a treasure Not the jewels a diver finds you should measure It's so quiet in the deep as a fish glides by Where is it going I wonder where and why There are so many varieties of life in the sea and from earth's stresses they seem so free Until a hook you drop in the water on a fishing line And after some patience and what seems a long time You hook in a fish that will be so good to eat As long as it doesn't try to pull you in off your feet Then, of course, it's the “one that got away: And doesn't show up in s picture you took today As soon as you have that fish sizzling on a fire With smells so good they fill you with desire For that great dinner you'll soon be getting Will soon make you forget about fuming and fretting © Copyright 1997 by Jean E, Gorney
