I wonder how I can get closer to God, I say?
It must be in prayer that you get that way.

Deep into thought I can let my mind roam;
But when I'm in prayer, I'm never alone.

He's always beside me leading me on,
Especially when I start out in prayer at dawn.

Sometimes my prayers and dreams come true,
Other times He just tells me what I should do.

I can count on His love, peace and grace
Even though I can't look right into His face.

With my morning prayers, my day is all changed,
For His love and caring my prayers I've exchanged.

Start out your day with prayers to Him up above.
You will surely handle anything this day with His love.
