It's not so bad, I say, growing older. So don't sit around in a snit or worry. Now you have time to sit and relax. Or at least you don't have to hurry. You can drive all the people crazy While standing in line at the store, As you slowly get out your money ]Trying not to drop it on the floor. In line at the bank, you now have Time to say, “Hi, how are things going?” There is also time to read a good book. No hurry to do the grass mowing. The noon hour can be a leisurely affair As you can slowly enjoy your lunch, There isn't anything for which to hurry, Since there is no time card to punch. Aren't you glad you had so much time That you can visit that long-time friend? And if you get taken to bed with the flu, You can take all the time needed to mend. As you may be taking a walk in the park, Not having to hurry home for dinner Remember you are lucky to get older For not everyone is such a lucky winner. © Copyright 1997 by Jean E, Gorney
