#69 I NEED A REST Read Count : 114

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
The children are up and sent off to school
I think I will sit with this glass of ice tea so cool
			I need a rest

Now shall I do the wash or get on with some cleaning
When towards a catnap on the sofa I am leaning
			I need a rest

All morning I've been running and hustling around
So off to the pool this afternoon I am bound
			I need a rest

As around the dinner table all are surrounded,
Getting off my feet is wonderfully founded
			I need a rest

The dishes are done, the children are all in bed
Now I feel like a real sleepy head.
			I need a rest.

Into my bed with pillows over my head
I know that tomorrow when I get out of bed
			I'll have a rest.
