#64 A CARPENTER Read Count : 115

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
A carpenter does great work with his hands,
And his mind, too as he looks over the plans.
This kind of work may take a lot of skill,
But to see a finished job is surely a thrill.
He figures and he measures with his tape.
For a great product he hopes he will make.
Trial and error surely make him the best,
Seeing a great job must make him feel blessed.
As we drive around town, he points out this or that
Whether it be a church, or barn or some other habitat.
And driving on by he says with such pride
“I hope the people are happy who inside abide.
And when he is retired and his work is all done,
I'm sure he will look back and remember the fun.
