Mei's pov

I stood in my family's modest home looking at my mothers crying figure. The official in front of us looked on in pity. "If its any consolation you will get their last pay to go on for a while."  He said in a monaton voice. I sighed and smiled at him "allow me to get my mother to her room and then we can talk." I reply to him grabing my mother her stomach causing slight issues. I sit her on her bed and walk back out to the official. "Would you like some tea or coffee?" I questioned walking to the kitchen. "If you don't mind." He replied with a quick nod. I smile and make two cups of tea as it was only polite but I also had other things on my mind mainly how to care for my mother myself and soon to be brother or sister. I set it down in front of him taking a seat right in front of him. "Now let us speak what happened" I question with little emotion in my voice. "Both your brother and father where killed on the battle feild when their squad was surrounded and as they died an honorable death you are to revive the last to pay they were to get along with any of their belongings." The official says looking slightly pained. Now that I look at him he's about the age of my brother. "You have my condolences mei I was a freind of your brothers." I smile bitterly but nod "thank you but please leave i I have to plan for a fuenaral." He nods and stands to leave. "As a currtacy his majesty will pay for the expenses of the funeral." He says before walking out. I sigh before tears roll down my eyes as I endlessly sob. How am I gonna do this I'm only 14
